Many new announcements were made for the Sims at the broadcast. Curtis Paradis did a great job representing the Sims community.
Here is a list of things announced at the event:
1. Brand New World coming to the Sims store - Monte Vista Click here for more info!
2. Official announcement of the next stuff pack. Sims 3 70's, 80's and 90's stuff ( rumoured as Sims 3 Decade stuff, Click here for more info)
3. The weather stone - When your Sims have both the Sims 3 Seasons and Sims 3 Supernatural installed on your computer a thing called a weather stone will appear in your town. Supernatural beings will be able to summon special weather affects only available with this item.
The Sims team states:
Each Supernatural Sim has their own unique power over the Weather Stone, so you'll have to use it wisely depending on what you're after. Witches can use it to summon a Bewitching Rain that causes Sims throughout your world to go crazy and perform rain dances. Vampires can call forth an Eclipsing Fog that mysteriously makes normal Sims more open to being fed upon by vampires! Fairies on the other hand, can bring on a Reviving Sprinkle that revives dead plants, kills weeds, and drapes the town in a beautiful rainbow. Finally, Werewolves can beckon the powerful Hunter's Storm which brings on a snowdrift full of collectibles that Werewolves normally hunt for. Depending on how you play, and who you play as, the Weather Stone packs a powerful punch to help you out in your aspirations.
4. The Sims magazine - Available on Apple and Android Tablets, more info on this online magazine is to come in the future.
5. Sims 3 University err sneak peek???? - At the end of the broadcast two people were jumping around on stage, a person in a mascot suit, and wait for it.... a person in a........ UNIVERSITY GRADUATE SUIT!!! YIPPIE! (more info to come in the future about this!)
6. New alien features - Aliens are available in the Sims 3 Seasons, the team showed off some of the things and powers aliens can use in the game. Instead of cars they drive around space ships, they can even go on a rampage, shooting lasers from their ship causing locals to go crazy! They can also abduct other sims causing them to be pregnant with an alien baby when the are released back on earth!
